Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had numerous abilities, which included the ability to act, direct and produce plays, as well as write them, teach, and be director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton, the child of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending rehearsals for plays as a child and watching her mom doing her job. Anna appeared in numerous commercials as a kid. Anna relocated to Toronto, Ontario, to pursue her acting. In the decade which followed, she relocated to Los Angeles. She came across Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actors' workshop in Los Angeles, and they got engaged in the year 2009. Anna, who had converted to Judaism by then Seth Cooperman and Anna had been wed in the month of December in Fredericton. In April of 2011, they renew their vows in a Jewish ceremony.
