Anya Taylor-Joy
Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former bank executive, as well as Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist who is a half-Spanish an English-speaking woman. Her father is an Argentine who is of Scottish as well as English descent. Her mother has Spanish and English ancestry. The Taylor-Joy family was a clan comprised of six children. Four of them are siblings from her previous marriage to Taylor's dad. The family she grew up with was living in Buenos Aires from the time she reached the age of six until they moved to Victoria, London. According to Taylor-Joy the move was traumatic and she did not want to study English to the hope of returning to Argentina. She was forced to transfer schools to Northlands to Hill House. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study ballet and to perform in school's plays. She dropped out of the high school aged 16 to pursue an acting career. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to work as an actress. her dreams came true when she was given an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
